DC FIT 10's New Decade 2020 Challenge
For all of 2020 you will be focusing on getting in your miles plus getting in additional workouts.
The point of the challenge is to get consistency throughout the year by breaking it down month by month. We are reaching our big goals by chipping away at the small goal.
The goal: Get in 10 miles of cardio (see note on what cardio is) PLUS 10 additional workouts every month for the entire year (25 minimum minutes for it to count).
The cardio: You can hit this mark by getting in 10 miles through running, walking, or the elliptical or getting in 100 miles cycling. You can also do a combo of cardio. Every 10 miles on the bike equals 1 mile on foot.
For example, if you bike 50 miles you would only have to run 5 miles for that month.
The other workouts: You can hit this mark through DC Fit 10 sessions, yoga, pilates, zumba, swimming, tennis, strength training, etc. (25 min minimum)
The tracking: You will use a fitness tracker to track your progress and share your workouts with Coach D by the end of each month. For cycling you can take a screenshot of your flywheel stats or peloton stats and submit that at the end of the month. For cardio you can take a screenshot of your miles from your phone.
For your convenience, you will get a digital download of a tracker that you can use to keep track of your progress. You can print it out and mark it off or you can screenshot it and use the markup option on your phone to keep track fo your workouts.
The prizes: You will earn a 3 month, 6 month, and 9 month reward as you check off those milestones. Everyone who completes the 12 month challenge will earn a Special Edition DC Fit 10 2020 Challenge Hoodie.
The fine print: All miles and workouts must be completed each month. There will be no carry over for going over miles/workouts and/or no making up for miles/workouts missed.
