Your total max effort points (MEP) is compiled from your overall effort during your workout. Getting to and/or staying in a certain zone is how you get the points assigned in each HR zone. You don't have to worry about doing any math, everything is done for you automatically through your HR monitor. Put it on and get to working!
Helpful tips: 1. Remember to remove the HR Monitor from the belt when not using to make sure the charge lasts longer
2. Remember to check your battery level in your app to make sure you always have a charge on your hr monitor
3. When putting the HR monitor on, make sure it beeps before you begin working out. IF it doesn't beep, and it is charged, remove the belt and moisten the black dots on the strap.
4. Keep your HR Monitor and strap in the same place when not using them so you do not lose it. It is RECOMMENDED to get a coin purse and carry it in there and keep it in your gym bag so you do not forget it for your workouts.
5. remember to drink a gallon of water each day (not related to HR MOnitor but good life advice).
