MOVE MORE! We say it all the time but now more than ever we want to make sure you are getting up and moving. We also know everyone is at a high stressed time in their lives so we don't want to add any additional stress. Which is why we are only asking for 20 minutes of movement...every single day. Movement doesn't mean high intensity training either, you can dance, garden, walk, stretch, clean your car, chase your kids around, etc, just move! 20 minutes. Every day from Feb 15th to Dec 20th.

HYDRATE MORE! Since you'll be moving more, we want to make sure you stay hydrated. When running these challenges in the past, the drinking water part is the hardest part for people. Instead of having you focus on your water everyday, we are only asking for you to make sure you get it in 21 days out of the month. A month is counted from the 15th of the month to the 14th of the next month. Your goal is to drink 96 oz (3/4 of a gallon). That's 12 oz of water every hour over the course of 8 hours, you can do it!

Better togetherWe want to make sure you succeed with this challenge and the best way to do that is with an accountability partner. We encourage you to sign up with a friend, family member, co-worker, or fellow DC Fit 10 athlete.
If you do not have someone to sign up with let us know and we will pair you up with someone, or let us know if you prefer not to be paired with anyone. Let us know who you are signing up with so we can keep track of who's keeping track of you. Only one of you has to fill out the info. |

2021 Annual Crush The Year ChallengeOur 2021 annual fitness is a little different than most years in that you only have to complete 10 months because January was a hot mess and December is always a holiday blur and you have something to do every day. There will also be 3 goals for you to complete each month, beginning on Febrauary 15, 2021 and going until December 20th, 2021 - because it's the holiday season we are giving you 5 extra days to complete the last month of the challenge. First Goal: 20 minutes of movement each day. You can either track this with your myzone or your apple watch or any other way you see fit that won't cause any additional stress to your life. Movement consists of walking, dancing, biking, gardening, lifting, chasing your kids around the house, DC Fit 10 workouts (obviously), or anything else that gets your heart rate up. Second Goal: From the 15th of one month to the 15th of the next month you have to drink at least 96 oz (3/4 of a gallon) for 21 days (not consecutive). There's an app on the iPhone (I'm sure droids have them too) that can help you track your water if you need help tracking it, but this is more of an honor system goal. Also, if you drink 96 oz of water every day than you don't have to worry about tracking it for 21 days Third Goal: You will get a personalized goal on the 15th of each month that you will have to complete before the 15th of the next month.
